A new android malware called Flubot is a major package delivery scam, targeting Android phones and devices across the UK. It spreads through texts which asks the users to click on the link provided to track their packages.
As per NCSC, “The spyware is installed when a victim receives a text message, asking them to install a tracking app due to a ‘missed package delivery’. The tracking app is in fact spyware that steals passwords and other sensitive data. It will also access contact details and send out additional text messages – further spreading the spyware.”
To stay secure users should use the official store for downloading apps, visit the official website to track delivery and not open the link in the text messages.
